About the Archive
This website is an initiative to preserve and present Bangladesh’s political and state history through photographs.
The archive is built upon the lifelong work of a professional photographer who spent nearly three decades documenting nationally significant political events, state functions, and public engagements of national leadership—most notably those involving Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The collection consists of several hundred thousand photographs, forming a substantial visual record of Bangladesh’s contemporary political history. Each photograph represents a specific moment in time and place, offering valuable historical context for researchers, students, journalists, and the general public.
Our Purpose
The primary objectives of this archive are to:
- Preserve politically and historically significant photographs in digital form
- Organize images chronologically and thematically for easy exploration
- Provide open public access to visual historical records
- Allow correction or contextual updates where inaccuracies are identified
This archive is not a personal gallery. It is a living historical repository intended to grow, evolve, and remain relevant over time. In the future, this initiative may develop into a formal institutional entity—such as an

এই আর্কাইভের ভিত্তি গড়ে উঠেছে একজন পেশাদার ফটোগ্রাফারের দীর্ঘ প্রায় তিনদশকেরকাজেরসংগ্রহ থেকে। এই সময়ের মধ্যে বাংলাদেশের বহু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রাজনৈতিক ঘটনা, রাষ্ট্রীয় অনুষ্ঠান এবং জাতীয় নেতৃত্বের কর্মকাণ্ড সরাসরি ক্যামেরায় ধারণ করা হয়েছে।এই সংগ্রহে রয়েছে কয়েক লক্ষের বেশি আলোকচিত্র, যা দেশের সাম্প্রতিক ইতিহাসের একটি দৃশ্যমান দলিল। প্রতিটি ছবি একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়, স্থান ও প্রেক্ষাপটকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে—যা ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্ম, গবেষক ও আগ্রহী পাঠকদের জন্য মূল্যবান তথ্যসূত্র হতে পারে।
আমাদের লক্ষ্য
- ঐতিহাসিক আলোকচিত্রকে ডিজিটালভাবে সংরক্ষণ করা
- সময়ভিত্তিক ও বিষয়ভিত্তিকভাবে সহজে অনুসন্ধানযোগ্য করা
- সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত ও সহজলভ্য রাখা
- ভুল তথ্য থাকলে তা সংশোধনের সুযোগ তৈরি করা
এই আর্কাইভটি কোনো ব্যক্তিগত গ্যালারি নয়; এটি একটি জীবন্ত ইতিহাসভাণ্ডার। ভবিষ্যতে এটি একটি প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক রূপ নিতে পারে—যেমন Archive, Trust বা Foundation—যার মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ও সামাজিক ইতিহাস আরও সুসংগঠিতভাবে সংরক্ষিত থাকবে।
